C.8 Compare height of three mountains

There are three mountains, A, B, and C.

In case that B is 30% higher than A and C is 40 % higher than B, what % is C higher than A ?

Answer
82%

Solution
Assuming that the height of A is 1, the height of B is 1 × (1 + 0.3) = 1.3 and the height of C is 1.3 × (1 + 0.4) = 1.82.

Therefore C is 82% higher than A.
