LL.3 "Janken" game among three persons

Taro, Jiro and Hanako played a janken (rock-paper-scissors) and one person won, two people lost.

Taro and Jiro said as follows:

Taro :  "Jiro gave a stone."

Jiro :  "Hanako gave a stone."

The person who won says the truth and the person who lost says a lie.

What did Jiro give ?

Answer
Paper

Solution
Firstly if Taro won, you can find Jiro gave stone based on the talk of Taro and Hanako also gave stone as Hanako lost.

In such story, since the talk of Jiro turns to be truth, it is contradictory.

Then you find Taro lost.

Next, if Jiro won, Hanako gave a stone based on the talk of Jiro and Jiro gave paper.

Taro tells a lie as Taro lost.

Finally if Hanako won, Hanako gave scissors or paper according to the talk of Jiro and Jiro gave scissors or paper based on the talk of Taro.

In that case, Hanako gave scissors and Jiro gave paper because Hanako won.

In any event above all, you can find Jiro gave paper.
