Math Problem : G.3 Stakes to the perimeter of the rectangle

You drive stakes to the perimeter of the rectangular land of 24 m in length and 42 m in width.
You should drive stake at every corner of the rectangle land and at the same interval.
On condition that number of stakes should be as few as possible, how many stakes do you need ?

Answer
22

Solution
In order to use stakes as few as possible with the same interval, the interval of stakes should be 6 m of the greatest common denominator of 24 m and 42 m.
In that case, it will certainly drive stakes also at four corners.
Length of one round of rectangle is (24 m + 42 m) × 2 = 132 m.
Interval of stakes is 6 m.
Number of stakes you need is 132m / 6m = 22.
