The size of the moon is same all night long.

In case the moon is near the horizon, we look at the moon as if it would be seen far and in case the moon is in the sky over the head, we look at as if it would be seen closer.

This is due to the errors of our eyes. However, the reason why such errors occur is not explained clearly yet.
