Next, Jiro passed 1/3 of the money in hand to Hanako.

Then, Hanako’s money in hand became the same as the money in hand which Taro had first.

Moreover, the ratio of the money in hand of Taro and Jiro became to 9 : 11.

When the total amount of money of three persons is 7600 yen, find the money in hand which Jiro had first.



Math Problem : FF.6 Gather flower petals in a schoolyard

Since the beautiful petals were scattered in the schoolyard, Taro decided to gather them together with some friends to make pressed flowers.

Although it was decided that each person gather 15 petals at a time, there were three persons who were able to gather only 14 sheets and three persons who were able to gather only 12 sheets at a time, respectively.

Then, when collecting the petals gathered and redistributing to everyone so that it might become the same number of sheets, eight sheets of petal remained.

In this case, find the number of persons who gathered petals.

Answer all the probable numbers considered.











Math Problem : FF.5 Distribution of seeds of flower

In a certain class of 40 students, it decided to distribute same number of the seeds of flower to applicants.

When distributed to the applicants at first, there is no seed remained.

However, since number of applicants was increased by three later, when redistributed, 18 seeds remained and it was not able to distribute one more to applicants.

At this time, the teacher said, “Although number of seeds remained is not enough for three persons, it is enough for two persons.”

Find the number of applicants at first.

Taro, Jiro and Hanako took a train for 1 hour and 12 minutes.

Hanako stood for a time of 3/2 times that of Taro.

FF.1 Fixed and proportional rate to send package

When I send a package, fixed rate is charged until the reference weight and proportional rate is charged to the weight exceeds the reference weight.

There are two packages of A and B of which each weight exceeds the reference weight and total weight is 50 kg.
If I send each package separately, A package costs 1250 yen and B package costs 1750 yen.
But it costs 2750 yen if I send both together.

What is the weight of each ?
